Ravangla or Ravongla:

Ravangla or Ravongla is a small town situated at an elevation of 8000 ft in South Sikkim district. Connected by state highway to other major towns in the state between pelling and Gangtok . Mt. Kanchenjunga, Mt. Pandim , Mt. Sinioulchu, Mt. Kabru are just a few of the major peaks that are clearly visible from Ravangla. During the summer time ( April- May) you will experienced orchids and Rhododendrons.

Kaluk :

This is a town in West Sikkim, It sits at an altitude of 5576 feet(1,700m). Near the town is the site of a historical battle between the forces of the Chogyal (king) of sikkim and invading British forces. The Lepcha tribesmen used a concoction of unidentified herbs to poison the only water source, a lake ( local term : pokhri). As a result, more than half of the British foreces were killed, which stopped the British invasion annd resulted in an accord .

Gangtok :

The capital of the Indian state of Sikkim situated at an elevation of 5,500 feet above sea level.With a spectacular view of the Khangchendzonga, the town provides the perfect base for travel through the state. One an important transit point for traders traveling between Tibet and India. MG Marg, the main street of Gangtok town is a great place to chill out. The country�s first litter and spit free zone, no vehicular traffic is allowed into the marg. You can sit at the Titanic Park or at the various benches stretched across the mall. The Mall is lined with shops on both sides of the road, so shopping becomes an added pleasure. This is also the venue for the annual Gangtok Food and Culture festival held in December each year when Sikkims multi-cultural cuisine, along with music and dance performances are showcased. This event attracts a large number of locals and tourists each year.

Day 4 : Ravangla Full Day Sightseeing

Morning after breakfast check out from hotel and start for full day sightseeing :

CHARDHAM : To advance Religious Tourism in Sikkim, this (SolophokChardham) recently created Pilgrimage-cum-Cultural Centre is developed over the Solophok Hill in South-Sikkim. View for miles, the 26.5 m high statue of Lord Shiva in sitting stance that denotes the area of the fundamental sanctuary. Aside from this monster statue, the reproductions of twelve Jyotirlingas alongside the four Dhams; Badrinath, Jagannath, Dwarka and Rameshwaram are additionally introduced in the mind boggling (7 sections of land approx.). This impersonation of chardham in the midst of the tranquil idea of Sikkim, has turned out to be one of the best traveller destinations in Sikkim, particularly among the aficionados of Lord Shiva.. BUDDHA PARK : In Ravangla (aka Ravangla) also known as Tathagata Tsal, 30kms from Namchi town. Spread over 23 acres of area this parkland has a towering sitting statue of Buddha which is 137ft 22inch tall. The face of the statue is coated with 3.5kgs of gold. It is the tallest metal statue of Buddha in the world. The statue has been setup on a hillock. The park with paved pathways and surrounded by mountains & forests looks awesome.

TEMI TEA GARDEN : The "Temi Tea" is popular among the tea lovers around the world. This is produced in the Temi Tea Garden in Sikkim which is the only tea garden here. It is perhaps one of the best tea gardens of the world. The Temi Tea Garden was established in the year 1969 by the government of Sikkim.The best quality tea produced here is the Temi Tea and the next tea that is best in quality is known by the name "Sikkim Solja" which is followed by "Mystique" and "Kanchenjunga Tea". The tea estate has also adopted the organic method of tea production instead of the conventional method. This has made the estate to be called as the 'organic garden'.
